Fresh Bread

I decided to make bread last night. I love the stress reliever that kneading dough can be. Making bread is so domestic, it makes me feel like a kitchen goddess LOL!! And the way it makes then house smell when it is cooking, second to none I do believe!! Since I only have one bread pan, I always make a braid, I like the way you can just pull a slice off, almost like a dinner roll. I also made honey butter to go with, it was heavenly!!

1 Month

Well I guess one month since my last posting is better than my previous record!!
I can't count the times that I have heard the saying " the older you get, the faster time seems to fly by", boy, is that true! I am only 30 and time is almost a speeding blur, I can't imagine how fast it will seem to pass me by when I am in my 40's! School is getting ready to start this coming week and for the first time I will have both my little loves going! Kaleb will begin his first grade journey and little Olivia will be in Kindergarten! It seems like yesterday I was getting them both ready for preschool. I am going to miss their sweet smiling faces and I know I will be counting the minutes to 330pm when it's time to pick them up! I will say, that I am a "tiny" but excited for the freetime I will have on the days that both of them go on the same day. Kaleb goes fulltime M-Fr, but Olivia only goes M, Thur, every other Wednesday. I am also looking forward to getting back on a normal routine! I am hoping it will give me time to really get back into my art studio and get some projects completed!
I want to share a couple cards I made, one thank you and one Halloween! I love feedback, so let me know what ya'll think!!

Good Intentions

When I first decided to start a blog, I envisioned it to be something along the lines of an online journal/place to share my artistic creations.....unfortunately it hasn't exactly turned out that way!! I always say " I'm gonna do better making posts", but so far I have not done so great.....I really want to, it just seems like I forget i even have a blog, or months go by and I don't "make" time to post something....starting now, I am making a commitment to myself and my follows to really make an effort to post more!!
The last few days have been so amazing, we have been to the beach 3 times and the park once! It hasn't been as hot as I would have liked, but that's okay, the kids have had an awesome time and i have gotten so many amazing pictures!! Sunday, since Billy was off work, we took the kids to a beach called Iverson Spit. I don't know of any other beach in our area where it is so sandy and the water is so shallow, the kids could walk out forever and the water barely reached their little waists!! I get so much joy watching them play and splash and pretend that logs are "bumper boats" and crash each other! We could see a plethora of holes in the sand where clams were spitting, so Billy decided to dig, he even found some razor clams, those things are HUGE!! and if you ask me, a little on the gross side hehehe!
On a more crafty note, I wanted to share  couple cute little cards I made the other night. I thought it would be nice to have some on hand when I need to send a quick "thank you" or " thinking of you"!!! Hope you all have a peaceful and safe rest of the week!!!--Angela

Love Bird Inn

I created this little project while waiting for the ball to drop in Time Square! It was originally plain unfinished wood. I started with a base of Vintage white acrylic paint, then crackle medium, ending with an acrylic pearl pink paint. I think that because of the pearl, the crackle did not show up, now I know not to do that again LOL! Everyone of the roses have been sprayed with Lindys Stamp Gang sprays. The hot pink is Pretty In Pink, the light pink is Cotton Candy Pink, and the others with Scintillating Silver Glitz Spritz. The fuzzy little white frames are from K & Company that I got last year at Micheals during the Valentines season. The little pink heart flat back pearls are from Making Memories, they came in a little variety pack with a bunch of pastel colors. I really like how this turned out, especially the little seam binding bow, it adds the perfect soft, dainty touch! My plan is to post more often on here, hopefully I can stick with it! Happy New Year!---love, Angela.
